Join us and the lovely folks from the History Museum on Tuesday June 25th at 5pm for the Dingeldein Lager Beer release.
We named this fine beer after the notable Dingeldein Family who owned the original Springfield Brewing Company back in the late 1890s. Dingeldein Lager was brewed to represent what folks in Springfield may have been drinking at the turn of the 20th Century before the enactment of national Prohibition. This beer style has become to be known as “Pre-Prohibition Lager”. Our interpretation of the style features Rahr Old World Pilsner Malt, barley, maize, and German noble hops. We clarified this beer without the use of filtration resulting in a brew with a bright golden hue, delicate malt body, and a crisp clean finish.
Representatives from the History Museum on the Square will be onsite for this beer’s release with pictures of the original Springfield Brewing Company as well as Dingeldein family artifacts. A portion of the proceeds from each Dingeldein Lager sold that night will go back to the History Museum to help preserve our beautiful city’s history.
We are also pleased to host The Big News Ska band out of Oklahoma who will be playing an acoustic set upstairs from 7p-10p
Come sip on an Old World Lager with us while taking a look back at a time that once was.
Cheers,
